AAAA Records in Shared Web Hosting
The state-of-the-art Hepsia hosting CP, included with our shared web hosting, will allow you to create a new AAAA record with ease. When you are within the account and you navigate to the DNS Records section, you will find all records that you have for any hosted domain or a subdomain under it. All it takes to set up the AAAA record is to click the New Record button, to choose the domain/subdomain in question, select AAAA and then only type or copy and paste the IPv6 address. We also have a step-by-step guide if you have never created records for your domain names, but it is less likely that you'll need it as Hepsia is much simpler to use than other Control Panels on the market. Within an hour your new record is going to be functioning and your domain name shall start resolving to the servers of the other provider. There is also an option to modify the TTL value, which outlines how long this record will be active if you edit it, from the default 3600 seconds to any value that the other provider may require.
AAAA Records in Semi-dedicated Servers
If you have a semi-dedicated server account from our company and you need to create an AAAA record for a domain you have hosted in it or a subdomain you have set up, it'll take you just a few mouse clicks within the Hepsia Control Panel to accomplish this. Even though you may have never had a hosting account before, you'll not encounter any troubles because you will use a very simple and easy-to-use interface. All DNS records for your domains are going to be listed in a section of the Control Panel with the same name, so once you go there, you will see all records which have been created automatically or manually and you'll be able to set up a new one by simply clicking on the corresponding button. A little pop-up shall appear, so with just a few mouse clicks you can select the type of record that you need and for which Internet domain or subdomain it's going to be set up. After that, just paste the IPv6 address within a text box, save the modification and 1 hour later the new AAAA record will be 100% live. As an optional setting, you can choose how long this record shall be active after you change it or remove it in the future. That's the so-called TTL, or Time To Live value of the record, which you can modify from the default 3600 seconds if the other company demands it.
